Aging Matters | Getting Started With Zoom

(upbeat music) - [Presenter] The pandemic caused many of us to pivot to online meetings for work or to just connect with family and friends we could not see.
The Zoom platform made this pivot possible for many, but some are still learning how to use the platform and could benefit from a quick guide for new users to get started.
To sign up for your own free account, visit the Zoom signup page and enter your email address.
You will receive an email from Zoom.
In this email, click Activate Account.
You can sign in to your Zoom account on the web at any time at zoom.us/signin.
Once you're logged in, use the panel on the left side to navigate the Zoom web portal.
You can update your profile, edit your settings, schedule a meeting and more.
(upbeat music) Here are some basic instructions for scheduling your first meeting.
One, sign in to your Zoom web portal.
Two, click Meetings.
Three, click Schedule a Meeting.
Four, choose the date and time for your meeting.
Five, select any other settings you would like to use.
Six, click Save.
You can also download the Zoom mobile app for iOS and Android from the Zoom downloads webpage or from the App Store or Google Play Store.
This is just a quick guide to get started on Zoom.
More information is available on the Zoom support page, where you can explore all Zoom's features.
While Zoom is a popular platform, there are other video call alternatives, including Google Meet, Skype, and Teams.
