John Dumelo slaughtered on Twitter for his tweet about Ghanas Independence Day celebrations

Conventionally, on every 6th March which marks Ghana’s Independence from colonial power, celebrities usually take to several social media platforms to wish Ghana a happy Independence Day.
In the morning of 6th March 2018 however, ace Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo decided to rather take a swipe at the government for disbursing millions to celebrate Ghana’s Independence Day. He could not fathom why the government will spend millions on the celebrations when there is a lack of social amenities in deprived communities. He expressed his displeasure as follows;
On 2nd thoughts there’s nothing to celebrate. Pupils lie on their stomachs to study in Yikurugu, UER, teachers teach IT with no computers all over the country etc. Yet we budget millions to celebrate 6th March? Ghana without aid starts with us getting our priorities straight.
